BIRTHING GUIDANCE PACKAGE

Helps you prepare for the birth of your baby by creating a birth plan that includes evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions regarding vaccinations, procedures, birth positions and medications used during pregnancy. It also addresses what you desire for birth and is shared with your medical team so everyone is on the same page.

Postpartum

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

Personalized to your need, general postpartum care involves, assistance with creating postpartum plan for family so mom can have time to rest and recuperate after birth. Caring for baby as mom takes shower or nap, providing community as mom sometimes feels left out as baby gets lots of attention. Being sure mom is well mentally, if needed, doing something mom needs support, for example if mom wants to get back in shape after 6 weeks postpartum, doula can take an in exercise class with them, take a walk etc. Postpartum support could also look like running light errands for mom, accompanying to postpartum appointments and access to resources if breastfeeding support is needed.

Bereavement

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

I understand that grief is hard. I come alongside you during the grieving process for however long you need support. I support mom at the hospital, during birth, postpartum. This may look like honoring baby who passed away via writing a letter, saying a prayer, planting a plant or seeds in remembrance of baby. Connecting mom to community resources for possible burial assistance. Creating space for mom to cry, accompanying mom to rage room, whatever she may need to process grief. As well as providing mental health resources if depression is present.
